Instagram live, together with your other platforms
Instagram now lets you go live from streaming software such as OBS with a stream key. Restream to Instagram to run a professional live with several cameras, slides and studio sound on Instagram and your other platforms at once.
Instagram gives every live a new stream key, so update it in your dashboard before each broadcast. A vertical picture (9:16) works best on Instagram.
Set up Instagram in 3 steps
Copy your Instagram stream key
On desktop: Create → Live video → copy the URL and key (every live gets a new key).

Restreaming to Instagram: FAQ
Can I go live on Instagram and YouTube at the same time?
Yes. Add Instagram and YouTube as two destinations in your dashboard; both go live together from the one stream you send.
What are the best OBS settings for Instagram?
Resolution 1080×1920 vertical, 30 fps, bitrate 3 to 6 Mbps, a 2-second keyframe interval and AAC, 128 kbps audio. We never re-encode your video, so these settings reach Instagram exactly as you send them.
Where do I find my Instagram stream key?
On desktop: Create → Live video → copy the URL and key (every live gets a new key).
How is traffic to Instagram counted?
Each gigabyte sent to Instagram uses one gigabyte of your plan. A 6 Mbps stream for one hour is about 2.7 GB.
